We are living in a critical time when the urgency to address climate change is greater than ever. To combat this global challenge, we have set an ambitious goal to plant 500 million trees by 2027 in areas where they are needed the most. With a strong network of global partners, a science-based approach, and over 50 years of experience in planting trees worldwide, we are confident in our ability to make a significant impact.

Our mission is to inspire people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit conservation and education organization, the Arbor Day Society relies on the support of our million members, donors, and partners to make our world greener and healthier. By joining forces with us, you can help us plant more trees, educate more people, get more hands in the dirt, and support more lives across the globe.

In order to ensure that the trees we plant thrive, we take great care in the shipping process. Trees are shipped as bare root stock only when they are dormant in the fall and spring seasons. This ensures that they arrive in a strong and healthy condition. Additionally, we carefully consider your local climate and the weather conditions of the current year when sending out the trees.

Why are trees so important? Trees play a crucial role in mitigating climate change. They absorb carbon dioxide, a major greenhouse gas, and release oxygen, providing us with clean air to breathe. Trees also help to regulate temperatures, reduce energy costs, and prevent soil erosion. Moreover, they provide habitat for countless species of wildlife and contribute to the overall biodiversity of our planet.

By planting trees, we can make a positive impact on the environment and create a better future for generations to come. Trees not only beautify our landscapes but also provide numerous social, economic, and environmental benefits. They improve air and water quality, enhance the livability of our communities, and promote a sense of well-being.

Join us in our mission to grow a movement and make a difference. Whether it’s planting a tree in your backyard, participating in tree-planting events, or supporting our programs financially, every action counts. Together, we can create a greener and healthier world for all.

Let’s work together to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees. Help us reach our goal of planting 500 million trees by 2027 and be a part of the positive change our planet desperately needs.
